Here’s a Christmas Card That’s Honest

I’ve started creating Christmas cards to convey the feelings we’d really like to share.

Why? Because cards are a weird thing. You get it, you look at it, and you either 1) hang it up on the wall because you’re afraid to throw it away, 2) you throw it away, or 3) you throw it in a drawer/chest/box for years until you die, and then your heirs throw it away.

In those fleeting moments, we should seize the opportunity to say exactly what we’re thinking. For those of us who don’t think like a Hallmark card (or a character in a Hallmark movie), there’s little to speak for us. Sure, there’s cheeky cards, but some of us aren’t cheeky. We just want to be honest.
